Indoor GNSS Positioning and Timing System for BUS Parking

Problems encountered in the management and scheduling of bus parking lots

With the development of the times, there are more and more indoor parking lots. There is no GPS and GNSS signal indoors, resulting in the bus being unable to locate and timing. So the bus can not be located and loss the timing.

How to solve the indoor positioning and timing problems.

For the problem of no GPS and GNSS signal indoors, GEMS Navitaion designed the Indoor GNSS Positioning and Timing system . This system re-radiates the signal to indoor areas or coverage spaces that satellite signals cannot reach. This is one of the indoor GPS coverage solutions from GEMS-Navigation.

This system solution uses GNSS Timing Antenna(TIMING4200), Gain Controller(RGA30-DV8),GPS Line Amplifier(GA40),reradiate Antenna(GRA10) and other products to complete the forwarding and coverage of outdoor signals.

Advantages of the solution

  • Solved the problem that GPS and GNSS signals could not be received in the First and Last Bus Stops;

  • Solved the problem of indoor GPS and GNSS signal interference;

  • The strength of the satellite signal can be adjusted;

  • Buses can be accurately positioned and timed;

Typical Cases

Underground Parking

Solution:

Set up a GNSS Timing Antenna(TIMING4200) outdoors, transmit the signal to the indoor Gain Controller(RGA30-DV8) through the RF Cable, and then cover the indoor area that needs GPS and Beidou signals by the reradiate antenna(GRA10).

Parking Under Viaduct

Solution:

In view of the scenario that the viaduct is more than 20 meters above the ground and there is no environment to place a rack-mounted Gain Controller(RGA30-DV8), we have prepared another solution.

A GNSS Timing Antenna(TIMING4200)  is set up on the viaduct, and the signal is transmitted to the Wall-mounted GPS Amplifier(GB50) under the bridge through the RF Cable, and then the GPS Spitter(MGS12) splits the signal, and then cover the area under the bridge that needs GPS and Beidou signals by the reradiate antenna(GRA10).

Large multi-storey bus car park

Solution:

The comprehensive parking lot has 6 floors that need to cover GPS and Beidou signals.

A GNSS Timing Antenna(TIMING4200) is set up at a spacious height on the roof, connected to the GPS Spitter(RGS108) via an RF cable, and the signal is transmitted to the Gain Controllers(RGA30-DV8) on different floorsand then cover the indoor area that needs GPS and GNSS signals by the reradiate antenna(GRA10).
